Les Nabis Art Prints & Lithographs

The last decade of the 19th century saw the formation of a group of rebellious French painters from what became known as the Les Nabis (The Prophets) Art Movement. What these Les Nabis artists had in common was that most had studied during the 1880s at Académie Julian, a Paris art school run by Rodolphe Julian. They were considered a group of avant-garde, Post- Impressionists responsible for setting the pace in graphic and fine arts in 1890's France.

Although the group participated in some successful public art exhibits beginning in 1890, most of their art stayed in the hands of private collectors or remained in the possession of the artists themselves. We proudly feature many Les Nabis lithographs, fine Les Nabis art prints and other examples of Post-Impressionism symbolism here at AffordableArt101.com.
