Picasso Carnet Californie Lithographs
Pablo Picasso made one of his sketchbooks available to be reproduced for publication. This was done in 1959 by Editions Cercle d'Art and the lithographs were printed at the Mourlot studio in Paris. The result was a limited edition of exact replicas of the original Picasso sketchbook, called "Carnet de la Californie". Some of the original Picasso drawings were executed on both sides of the paper, and that is the reason why some of these lithographs have compositions on both sides. These Picasso Carnet Californie lithographs are beautifully printed on the same type of wove paper commonly used in sketchbooks.
